- Guess there is no such thing as a clean break. The curse may have let go, but she's firmly held back by her past. The road she's on is sure to have a good ending, right?

- Yeah. It's all monkeys and cupcakes from here on out.
C'mon, Baltimore, you're only human. You messed up. Make it up by being a better parent and person.
I mean, c'mon. It's not like that's one of those "easier said than done" things.

- "Broken promise"--betrayal.

Interesting comparison between Baltimore and Rai. The betrayals were eerily similar except for the outcome (no thanks to Rai), and the guilt and remorse is overwhelming for both, but I have a suspicion that Baltimore is more deeply introspective, and more likely to be badly affected than Rai is. I could see him regretting his actions, but not being as demon-ridden about it as Baltimore is.

The one piece of information we don't have yet is whether Clemence was trying to kill Baltimore at the same time, which would make the outcome more like self-defense, and alter somewhat the validity of Baltimore's self-loathing.

My respect for you as a cunning storyteller is growing with each page. ^^

- Baltimore may have beat the curse... or did she? Maybe she just traded one in for another. Panel four is the bomb! Love it. If there were a Baltimore comic, I'd imagine it would have lots of sweet visuals like this.

- @GroovyKinda: But what do you do when the demons in your head prevent you from being a better parent? When they scream and laugh and demand attention you owe to your child. It's not a happy road Baltimore is on.

- @Delta-v: Rai will have his demons to struggle with, no doubt about that. How he handles it, I can pretty much guarantee will be different from how Baltimore does it.

Whether what happened to Clemence was murder or self-defence. Well... Very few people know what actually happened. Maybe even fewer than you think.

- @Jessie: No such thing as a clean break. Walking away scott free was probably too much of an ask, right. A depressing foresight for our heroes, even should the best possible outcome come to pass.
