- Because of course that complex has a "kill house". Why wouldn't it? Things are about to heat up. Get ready for a time jump, as the twentieth begins to loom.

A View to a Kill House - Good for you, Shields. Training Rai to maybe survive this thing and help you end it, giving him a chance to atone for what he did, and making him cut that greasy mop.
You're okay in my book, McKloskey.
Of course, he could be training Rai to go in first against Baltimore...
And a time jump? We don't get a cool montage of Shields punishing Rai, set to some 80s hair metal ballad? You're letting a great opportunity pass you by, my friend.

- Really enjoying the direction this is taking. I'm with Groovy; kinda hanging out for a gnarly montage. Though I'll settle for a time jump.

- My seatbelt is fastened and my tray table is locked in the upright position. I have too much baggage to safely secure, but I'm ready. I'll leave with a quote from the Lapingaroux:
"That kill'n room floor is my church. An these blues are my confession." FIGHT!

- "Cut yer hair, ya dirty hippie!"

Special Ops-type training? "hate it" is a mild way of putting it. O.o

You do "abandoned facility" beautifully. :)

- Shields really likes twisting that knife, doesn't he? I really was hating Rai for a while, but I'm kind of looping back to feeling a little sorry for him. He's so desperate to fix this and I really doubt he ever will. He's taking on a Sisyphean effort here and I'm sure Shields' training is going to be agony on the body and soul.

- @GroovyKinda: I did consider a montage, but decided against it. And it's about time someone told Rai to get rid of his silly fringe, isn't it. Everyone was too polite to say anything.

- @Lunapocalypse: I decided to go with a quantum jump instead of the soft transition of a montage. I'm sorry. But before that, we're going to check in on the goings on of a couple of old friends.

There will be blood.

- @Jessie : Lapin would probably look at this whole mess, shrug his shoulders, take a deep, dirty drag from his cigarette, and walk away, muttering "I don't have time for this kid's stuff." :)

- @Delta-v: Rai is going to get pushed to his limits, that's for sure. But McKloskey's brand of training might be a bit, say, unorthodox, and not in any way sanctioned by any special ops training program.

- @melaredblu: Shields does seem to be twisting the knife any chance he gets, doesn't he? I get the impression that he doesn't like Rai very much. And Rai does seem quite sincere in his repentance, doesn't he? We'll see what happens to that newfound nobility when the twentieth looms yet again, though.

For now, he's got a giant boulder to roll up the side of a mountain.
